Slateford House 1770 is a rare piece of architecture made up of two beautiful, historic houses. One a fortified house built in 1770 is older than America; built by the Inglis clan to protect the family from marauding Jacobite armies.

The second, an Arts and Crafts hall, was built in 1899 to commemorate the life of David Chalmers. Additionally, two new apartments have been sympathetically designed by award winning architects EMA, featuring a sedum roof and mirroring the curved walls found throughout the historic buildings.
